FOUR-HANDED SEVEN UP

Four people play in pairs, partners sitting opposite each other. Play proceeds as in the standard game except that the two players to the right may only look at their cards after the trump suit has been decided.

A 17th-century English game for two or three players, seven up is also known as high-low-jack, all fours and old sledge.

A standard deck of 52 cards is used, the ace ranking high.
