CALL-ACE EUCHRE

A variation for four to six players, each playing alone, with rules as in the four-handed game except for the following:

CALLING

The maker can opt to play alone or with a partner. To nominate a partner, he says I call on the ace of…’ and chooses a suit. The person holding the ace plays in partnership [...]

THREE HANDED EUCHRE

In the three handed game, also known as cut throat euchre, the maker always plays alone against the other two players in partnership. Scoring is the same except that the maker only scores three points for a march, not four.

TWO-HANDED EUCHRE

Played as four-handed euchre, except the declaration to play alone is not needed. A 24-card deck is used by stripping the 7s and 8s from the 32-card deck.

EUCHRE VARIATIONS: RAILROAD EUCHRE

A version of four-handed euchre in which the joker is also a trump and ranks over the right bower.
